TOUSLED TUESDAY: HOW TO CURL WITH A STRAIGHTENER

Beachy waves are still in full swing this season, and like a great pair of blue jeans, doesn't look like they're going out of style anytime soon. And while tousled locks are meant to look fabulously effortless, getting your ideal tousled mane is all about using the right technique. Sleeping in braids and using our curling wand are our usual Tousled Tuesday go-to's, but this week, we're all about using our flat iron for soft, subtle, beachy curves.

First, prep damp hair with BLNDN SAVE YOU Brightening Cream, then rough-dry and comb out tangles with your fingers. If you can, let air dry at least 50%, cutting down the time under heat on your locks. If you're skipping a wash today, absorb oils and add volume with BLNDN KEEP YOU.

Start with your hair at the bottom of your head, tying everything up top with a clip or hair tie. Depending on how thick you want your waves (we recommend one-inch sections all over), wrap hair around the top plate of your flatiron, pointing away from you. Gently ease your straightener down your hair slowly, ensuring you are moving slow but never fully stopping at any point, as this will create kinks and potential breakage.

Repeat all over and move on to gathered hair at top.

If you curl a piece of hair and don't like how it turned out, leave it piece for now and finish the rest of the hair. When it's cool, return to the section and re-curl.

For face framing pieces, turn straightener away from your face, turning your wrist to curl outward.

When finished, set with BLNDN HOLD YOU Holding Hairspray.

Enjoy your beach waves, babes! Happy Tousled Tuesday!

xx,

Team BLNDN
