3 Tips for a Low Maintenance Blonde

So you call yourself a "bronde." You've been rocking highlights for years, and just maybe gave the ombre trend a shot in 2015... you love the idea of someday going REALLY blonde (ahem, reports show Gigi Hadid JUST did!), but you just can't with the maintenance...

Never fear babes! BLNDN is here to help. Despite what most think, going really, and we mean REALLY blonde doesn't have to cost you a ton of $$$ or monthly trips to the salon. Here are our top three low-maintenance blonding tips:

1. Sweep It

Instead of traditional foil highlights, opt for a bright blonde balayage from a stylist trained in the technique (we recommend a Business of Balayage certified stylist). The Balayage technique allows for a sun-kissed natural looking hair color – similar to what nature gave many of us as kids – with softer, less noticeable regrowth lines than foils. (Fun fact! Balayage is a French word meaning to sweep or to paint.)

2. Cover it

Wear a big hat when you're in the sun for longer than 30 minutes. Although the sun can help to "bleach out" our hair, it can also cause yellowing and dryness causing breakage and dull brassy tones. Besides, there are so many cute floppy hats this season, why not jump on the bandwagon???

3. Love it

Just like a good skincare regimen helps you maintain a bright youthful glow, your blonde locks deserve a little TLC too! Salon processing, the sun, and other factors like the minerals in your water, all contribute to dryness, dullness and breakage. Not to mention those pesky brassy tones. The truth is, you don't need to spend a bunch of money or extra time caring for your hair. Just wash, condition and treat with our Signature Regimen designed by and for blondes to keep your locks bright, shiny and protected all summer long.
