Chris Mcmillan Salon in Beverly Hills is not only notorious for its rustic, edgy atmosphere, but also for all-star stylist Nina Kairouz. (And seriously, we love her.)
The L.A. native spends her days glamming west coast babes, and has a serious knack for to-die-for blonde manes.
In an October interview
, Kairouz touched on her passion for having fellow west coast natives in her chair. "I think LA and NY vary in a specific way: the blonde factor imitates it’s (sic) environment. The L.A. blonde is beachy, rooty and the transition of tones goes from darker to lighter, almost white at the ends. Everyone is a surfer here, my client’s hair looks as if the sun did it or perhaps they went in the ocean for a week. NY blondes are blonde root to ends, the taking care of business blonde, born this way blonde. Both are beautiful and so different." Kairouz explains, "Everyday I learn and watch and become inspired by the best talents in the industry and with no exaggeration do I say the best. I hope to be a student for as long as I can, for as long as my clients will let me, and every day I inherently know how truly lucky I really am."
She adds, "If at the end of the day I make someone feel beautiful, I am grateful for that moment."
Happy Stylist Saturday, loves!
