The name Farrah Fawcett became synonymous with great hair when she debuted her thick, feathered locks on Charlie's Angels. (That's back when it was the TV series, not the movie.) And with '70's nostalgia on heavy rotation in the fashion world this spring, we decided to dedicate today to recreating one of our favorite flashbacks of all time:
Farrah Fawcett's hair.
While Miss Fawcett's stylist applied the curl, pin, curl technique to achieve her famed curls, our modern adaption uses appliances you have already on your counter.
For modern curls like Farrah, part hair in the center and prep hair with SAVE YOU Brightening Cream to tame frizzies and flyaways.
Start with hair on the bottom, near the nape of your neck, pinning the hair above your ears with a clip.
Using a 3" barrel (or the largest size you have), spray with BLNDN HOLD YOU Holding Hairspray and curl 2 inch sections at a time, turning your wrist away from you as you curl.
Repeat all over, moving up to the pinned hair once all of the bottom hair is curled.
For face-framing strands, blow-dry bangs using a flat brush and apply SAVE YOU for added smoothness.
Separate the bangs into a soft fringe using your fingers.
TIP: For smaller "baby Farrah" waves, you can also use a smaller wand, using the same motion.
Brush our curls with a bristle brush to add fluff. Set with HOLD YOUfor all-day bounce.
Far out, babes!
xx,
Team BLNDN
