ROSE GOLD HAIR IS THE NEWEST TREND TAKING OVER THE INTERNET

ROSE GOLD HAIR IS THE NEWEST TREND TAKING OVER THE INTERNET

If Roy G. Biv were an actual guy, we feel like he'd be pretty pleased with the pastel hair trends that have swept the internet as of late. From bubblegum heads to rainbow locks and just about every shade between, colored hair is a trend that doesn't seem to be halting anytime soon.

I think we can all agree that rose gold has been having a moment for... well, months. From iPhone cases (ahem.... Ben on The Bachelor) to eyeshadow palettes and statement watches, it seems like this coppery hue has taken over just about every niche in the beauty and fashion industries.

Well, move on over, Michael Kors, because rose gold is getting a whole new look. It comes as no surprise that rose gold manes have been popping up all over the 'net the last few days. (I mean, it was only a matter of time.)

Starlets like Emma Roberts have been testing out the craze, and we have to admit... we're kind of obsessed.

A few BLNDN tidbits about going RG:

  • Rose gold is the perfect introductory hue for the hesitant first-timer that isn't sure bright turquoise or bubblegum is for her.
  • Nailing the perfect rose gold requires a few different colors to be mixed, so this isn't the time to reach for box color. Give your stylist a call to concoct the perfect rose gold recipe, and have a few Pinterest inspiration pics ready to give her an idea of what you're looking for.
  • Stay realistic, since the exact shade of rose gold you end up with really depends on the shade you start out with.
  • Achieving the perfect buttery rose gold often requires a double process, so you'll need to give your strands some serious TLC with a deep conditioner likeREPAIR YOU twice weekly afterwards.
  • Maintain your color with deep violet toning products: BRIGHTEN YOU Brightening Shampoo is gentle enough to use daily, if you choose, and TONE YOUToning Rinse should be used 1-2 times per week to cut the brass and let your true color shine!
